Boric acid l capsules? 10 points guaranteed to best answer?

I have chronic bacterial vaginosis. My gynecologist has given me a prescription for boric acid capsules, to be inserted lly twice a day. The pharmacist was unable to tell me any information and now my doctor's office is closed... My questions are... Am I supposed to lay down after I've inserted one? If so, how long? Can I still have with my hubby while using this treatment? Last question...sorry if TMI but I have just had IUD removed (which may be the cause of my troubles) and am now using the sponge. If I were to have while using this treatment, is it ok for me to be using the sponge? If anyone can answer any of my questions, or point me in a helpful direction, I would greatly appreciate it. I have been through so much with this BV, and bad doctors, the works. I just want it to be over, and I don't want to screw up this treatment which might end my suffering. Thanks!!
