Family law Michigan need help asap!!!!?

I have a hearing Monday morning and have only known about it for a week now.I have tried to find legal aid but the next intake for the county isn't until the 24th of this month.Will they let me postpone until I find legal representation? or do I have to bite the bullet and fend for myself? The father is taking me for sole physical custody. What are my rights as a mother? I have been trying to find help but can't since I'm currently unemployed. I have a story to tell but need someone to hear it, just so i don't lose my children.
