Electricity source for an RV?

Hey people, Im trying to find a very cheap efficient way to live for a few years and was thinking about buying a small RV to live in while i save up some money. I have property to put one on, but i wont have electricity well or septic.... I was thinking about replacing the toilet with a composting one, and I can probably find a way to get water to it, but im wondering what to do about electricity. I know propane powers some things, but what runs on propane and what runs on electricity? I was thinking of buying some solar panels but i don't have any idea what to buy or how those work either. help please, im totally lost.
