Why is my left big toe numb?

My big toe on my left foot is numb, not 100% though...i can still feel a bit but mainly pressure. I started noticing it after work and it never went away. While at work my back was really sore and I dont know if that has anything to do with it but also my mom and grandmother are diabetics which im wondering if could be the cause? I dont do a whole lot of walking and I have never injured my toe so im just not sure what it could be.
