Seriously, "So is this what today's UK is like??"?

I am an Indian, scheduled to go to London for three months for a project. I know it's not fair to generalize based on how a bunch of people behave, but it still makes me think.. And makes me apprehensive!! I mean after watching the shows, I am freaked out!
